- No. Once the watermark is applied and you download the PDF, it is flattened into the document and cannot easily be removed without specialised (and expensive) PDF editing software. Always keep your original un-watermarked PDF as a backup.

- Absolutely not. FileNexa processes your PDF entirely locally using pdf-lib running via WebAssembly in your browser. No document data is ever sent to any server. Your files remain completely on your device.

- The current tool applies a standardized diagonal, semi-transparent grey watermark optimised for readability across all backgrounds. Custom styling options are planned for future updates.
